Workplace Mediation

Conflict is very common in the workplace, people spend more time in the workplace then they do with their family. Conflict is common, yet resolution can be difficult. Emotions may escalate, self respect may become damaged, and relationships may suffer, words maybe spoken that either party had no intentions to have ever stated.

Workplace conflict has a dramatic affect on the performance and employee job satisfaction. The communication and relationship between co-workers, managers and or supervisor is a very important factor in an efficient workplace. Mediation can offer to assist employees in resolving the conflict in a respectful and efficient manner.

How Can a Mediator Assist You?

As the mediator I will assist in guiding the team or employee through the process of identifying what the issues are that need to be resolved. The Mediator will stay impartial, not showing any bias in favor of management, and employee or union. The mediator will provide an environment that allows for a safe, confidential, interest based process looking to assist in resolving the conflict that is affecting the workplace relationship.

The benefits in using mediation is being able to build an agreement that might not have been achievable without the mediation process. Employees will feel that their concerns have been heard and valued and that their input added value to the solution. Mediation will leave all of the participants involved with a skill to be able to deal with conflict if and when it arises in the future.
